CoolSaathi (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use coolsaathi.com or book a service with us, why we collect it, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data we collect
- Booking details you give us: name, mobile number, area/address, the AC service you need and any problem description.
- Communication: calls, WhatsApp messages and emails you send us.
- Website usage: basic, anonymised analytics such as pages visited and device type.
2. Why we use it
- To confirm your booking, schedule a visit and send you updates.
- To share your name, phone number, address and problem with the CoolSaathi technician assigned to your job, only so they can complete the work.
- To handle warranty claims, feedback and complaints.
- To improve our website and services.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent.
3. Consent
When you submit our booking form you tick a box agreeing to be contacted and to the sharing described above. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@coolsaathi.com; withdrawal does not affect work already completed.
4. Who we share data with
- The technician assigned to your booking.
- Service providers who help us run the business (website hosting, email, spreadsheets, messaging), under confidentiality.
- Authorities, where required by law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide the service, honour the warranty and meet legal/accounting requirements — normally up to 3 years — and then delete them.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Email info@coolsaathi.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including secure (HTTPS) connections and access limited to people who need the data.
8. Grievances
For any privacy concern or complaint, contact our grievance officer at info@coolsaathi.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
